Efron complimented the director, Scott Hicks, in a recent interview with People, saying, "From his past films, (Hicks) is incredible with capturing the love in those scenes. Everyone builds those scenes up." And for good reason!
But don't think Efron was intimidated by going through with the steamy shots. "There is sort of a fear inherent in everyone else so me and Taylor weren't afraid at all," he tells the mag.
According to his 27-year-old co-star, she and Efron bonded rather quickly on the set. Shilling told People, "I was very nervous. I met Zac in hair and makeup and we just hit it off immediately." A-List Links: So Zac Efron Did Drop A Condom On The Red Carpet
She describes their meeting as "just very easy and that sort of click is something you can't describe but you just really hope for, because then it just makes the process really easy. I feel lucky to count him as a friend."
The duo's love scenes were shot last and luckily, Hicks knew that his stars were bonded enough to do them. "I think the harder part is doing some of the emotional scenes and then once those are done, it's like, you want me to kiss you? Meh. No big deal," Schilling says.
We're glad she sees it as no big deal now, but we wonder how Zac's rumored girlfriend, Lily Collins, feels about all this?
