Is the actress trying to gross us all out, or is she just "Clueless"?

Alicia Silverstone, we hate to break it to you, but you are not a bird.

The 35-year-old Clueless actress has just activated gag reflexes all over the world with her new video post on her health website, The Kind Life, that has now gone viral. The post titled, "Home video: breakfast with baby Bear," shows how the celebrity mom feeds her 10-month-old son Bear by chewing the food herself before transferring it to his mouth.

Silverstone writes:

"I fed Bear the mochi and a tiny bit of veggies from the soup…from my mouth to his. It's his favorite...and mine. He literally crawls across the room to attack my mouth if I'm eating. This video was taken about a month or 2 ago when he was a bit wobbly. Now he is grabbing my mouth to get the food!" A-List Links: Alicia Silverstone Is Pregnant

She doesn't explain why on earth she would feed her child this way, but the strict Vegan probably thinks it's beneficial heath-wise because, you know, animals do it. Or maybe she just doesn't have a food processor? Or a spoon?

According to Fox News, Dr. Jennifer Landa, M.D Chief Medical Officer of BodyLogicMD explains: "There are those who think that a mom chewing a baby's food provides helpful enzymes from her mouth but it doesn't seem like a hygienic practice."

"Various viruses and bacteria, but especially herpes virus, may be passed from mother to baby," Dr. Landa continues. "These microbes present a challenge that the infant's immune system may not be ready for. So the practice is questionable for safety, and then, there's a certain ick factor here that needs to be considered." The 5 Worst Celebrity Moms: Who Takes The Cake?

More like a gigantic ick factor! Babies have been digesting food on their own without problem for centuries, so this pre-chewing habit seems nothing short of ridiculous.

We can only imagine the implications it will have in poor Bear's future. On a first date, you'll think he's going in for the kiss, but he really just wants some of your pasta... that's already in your mouth!
