One of the biggest controversies surrounding the 54th Grammy Awards was the fact that Chris Brown was allowed to perform on stage, despite the explosive night in 2009 before the Grammys when he physically harmed then-girlfriend Rihanna. (Rihanna also performed on Sunday and chilled with her friend Katy Perry.)

However, apparently he hasn't learned his lesson. Us Weekly has learned that Brown, 22, now uses a disturbing pick-up line. Evidently, he approached an attractive female on February 10 and asked her, "Can I get your number? I promise I won't beat you!"
The source tells the mag that Brown's friends laughed and one of them yelled "That's his new line!"
His rep tried to smooth things over and denied that Brown said such a horrible thing. His rep told Us, "That is absurd and absolutely not true. He did not say that nor would he joke about that."

Maybe Brown has grown up since 2009, but if this story is true, then he definitely has a long way to go.
