With Prince William deployed to the Falkland Islands, Kate spent her V-Day doing charity work.
It's a good thing that Kate Middleton has a new puppy to keep her company this Valentine's Day, as the 30-year-old Duchess of Cambridge is spending her first V-Day as a married woman (mostly) alone!
Still, according to CelebDirtyLaundry, the British princess didn't lounge around, eating chocolate and watching movies at home. Instead, while Prince William is currently serving a six-week deployment to the Falkland Islands with the Royal Air Force, Kate spent her day giving back by touring some charities in Liverpool, England, including an alcohol-free bar that's run by the addiction charity she's a patronage of, and a children's hospital. While Prince William isn't around to shower Kate in flowers, she did receive a card from him, as well as a special Valentine from an 8-year-old boy at the children's hospital!
"I have wrote in the card, 'Dear Kate, Happy Valentine's Day, I love you, from Jaqson. I'm going to say, 'Happy Valentine's Day, your Royal Highness. I'm sorry Prince William can't be here," said the boy, prior to meeting the Duchess. 12 Facts You Didn't Know About Kate Middleton
Reportedly, Kate replied of Prince William: "Do you know where he is, Jaqson? He's in the Falklands but he's sent me a card this morning."
How sweet of Prince William to make sure Kate received a Valentine's Day love note, even though he's 8000 miles away!
