Taylor Swift On Being Single & Her "Earth-Shattering" Heartbreak
Taylor Swift may only be 22, but she's had her fair share of lousy breakups.

In the February issue of Vogue, Taylor Swift opens up about being single, dealing with serious heartbreaks, and what she's looking for in a man.

Us Weekly reports that her next album will, of course, contain songs that are influenced by her rollercoaster love life. But lately, the drama-meter has been low for Swift, and she has no problem with that! Get To Know Taylor Swift’s Rumored New Beau Garrett Hedlund!

"I got nothing going on! I just don't really feel like dating. I really have this great life right now," she tells Vogue.

Things, as we know, haven't always been quiet for Swift's dating life. A year ago, she was going through a breakup with Jake Gyllenhaal. Could he be the source of inspiration for her new music? She's not exactly saying yes... but she doesn't say no, either.

"There's just been this earth-shattering, not recent, but absolute crash-and-burn heartbreak," she says cryptically, "and that will turn out to be what the next album is about. The only way that I can feel better about myself, pull myself out of that awful pain of losing someone – is writing songs about it to get some sort of clarity."

So what does the wavy-haired songstress want in a man? For starters, he has to be willing to get to know her as a person and not from what he reads about her online. Is Taylor Swift's New Song About John Mayer?

"If someone doesn't seem to want to get to know me as a person but instead seems to have kind of bought into the whole idea of me and he approves of my Wikipedia page? And falls in love based on zero hours spent with me? That's maybe something to be aware of. That will fade fast. You can't be in love with a Google search."

Plus, he has to respect her need for security, not because she's a diva, but because there are real creeps out there (and she's a beautiful young woman afterall).

"I don't have security to make myself look cool, or like I have an entourage. I have security because there's a file of stalkers who want to take me home and chain me to a pipe in their basement."

But above all, she wants a guy who can do his own thing and isn't threatened by her success at such a young age. "If you are threatened by some part of what I do and want to cut me down to size in order to make it even? That won't work either." Jake Gyllenhaal Dumps Taylor Swift Over the Phone

Couldn't agree more, Taylor!
