If 2009 was the year of celebrity mistresses, then 2011 certainly seems to be shaping us as the year of scandalous, celebrity cellphone pics. While Scarlett Johansson has reportedly called the FBI about hers, Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake, whose in-the-buff pictures are rumored to exist but have yet to be actually seen, have released a statement, denying that they sexted each other any scandalous photos.
As TMZ reported earlier this week, Mila's cell phone was supposedly hacked and among the bevy of salacious pictures were two images of Justin Timberlake, one of him lying shirtless on a bed and one with him sporting a pair of pink panties on top of his head. (In other words, a photographic confirmation that the two Friends With Benefits co-stars did, in fact, hook up.) Can “Friends with Benefits” Ever Work?
However, in a statement to People Magazine that reads like a lawyer's attempt at humor, Justin and Mila's reps note, "At no time did Mr. Timberlake and Ms. Kunis exchange inappropriate texts or emails. ...The insistence that there is any inappropriate correspondence between the two parties is entirely false."
"We would like to confirm that the photo addressed in the media of Ms. Kunis was in fact not from any phone but from an inactive email account that has not existed in three years. In regards to the other photos in question, they were never exchanged between the two parties," the statement continues.
"In closing, Mr. Timberlake would like us to make it clear that while he might write songs about putting things in boxes, he never has and definitely doesn't make a habit of taking any photos of them and sending them... Ms. Kunis would like us to add that while she is a fan of the song, she does not have nor has ever had photos of any male parts in her possession." So, to rephrase in non-PR-speak, the photo of Mila in a bathtub is actually of her, but none of the others, which is disappointing because we really, really wanted to see Justin with some pink undies on his head. We guess until someone actually releases the photos, we'll just have to take Mila and Justin's (and their lawyers) word for it that the two had and continue to have a strictly professional relationship.
Just like Blake Lively, whose rep denied that those naked photos of her were real, this is likely just another case of wishful thinking... right?
