In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Brad Pitt opens up about his professional and romantic relationship with Angelina Jolie and their family life. He even discusses meeting the seductive actress on the movie set of their 2005 film, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, when he was still with ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston. Ouch.
"[Angelina and I] had some good workshops beforehand. Had some good laughs and ideas. That was just a great collaboration that turned into a greater collaboration," Pitt explains (though that great collaboration eventually resulted in his divorce from Aniston!). 5 Love Lessons We Can Learn from Jennifer Aniston
Despite ruining his marriage, Pitt desires to work with Jolie on a movie set again. They currently have a system set up so they never work at the same time, which is great for their children. But for the couple, it's chipping away at their quality time.
"We should be doing [movies] together," he says. "That's what we should be doing. We should be doing everything together, and then we could work less. We could have more time off."
Apparently, there's a lot more where that came from—the hunky actor's interview with EW lasted an entire three-and-a-half hours long! It's a shame we have to pick up the print issue to read the rest, because there's probably a lot more juice to squeeze out of this Pitt.
Consider the juice squeezed! As if those admissions to EW weren't enough, the Moneyball actor just gave another interview to Parade Magazine, in which he says he's a totally "satisfied man."
"I put much more emphasis on being a satisfied man. I'm satisfied with making true choices and finding the woman I love, Angie, and building a family that I love so much. A family is a risky venture, because the greater the love, the greater the loss… That's the trade-off. But I'll take it all."
If this leaves you wondering what this kind of statement implies about his previous marriage to Aniston, you're not alone.
Pitt explains: "It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn't living an interesting life myself. I think that my marriage had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn't."
On the bright side, it's clear that Pitt is much happier with Jolie and their ever-growing brood than he was with Aniston, with whom he says he became a pot-smoking couch potato. No doubt Angie keeps him on his toes and never gives him a chance to be bored (or high, for that matter). Plus, he totally worships her. Angelina Jolie On Wedding Rumors & Brad Calling Her "A Nightmare"
"One of the greatest, smartest things I ever did was give my kids Angie as their mom. She is such a great mom. Oh, man, I'm so happy to have her."
OK, we get it, Brad!
