Kate Gosselin, Now Unemployed, Single Mom: "I'm Freaking Out"

Kate Gosselin is in quite a predicament. As we all know by now, her solo show on TLC, Kate Plus 8, has been cancelled. Since it was her main source of income, the reality star is worried, to say the least. Kate Gosselin's Show Is Cancelled; Jon Is 'Relieved' For The Kids

Gosselin tells People, "I'm freaking out. Big time," adding that nobody was ready for the show to end, including her co-starring twins and sextuplets. "I've never quit a job in my life without having something else lined up. I don't know what's next."

Since it seems like her ex-hubby, Jon, is little help in the financial department, Gosselin now has to figure out how to keep her children in their big house and expensive school while still putting food on the table and... getting her hair regularly dyed. "The scary reality is, 12-hour nursing shifts every day wouldn't let me continue to provide well for eight kids essentially on my own," she says. "When you think about it that way, it gets really scary."

She tells the Huffington Post: "I know when things translate into TV. I'm good at it 'cause I live this life. I have had people come to me and say 'I have this great idea for a reality TV show.' I actually, in my mind, can play it out and see it happening. For me it's like writing a living book and I really love to write."

We don't blame Gosselin for being nervous about her future as an unemployed single mother of 8—heck, we would be too! Can you imagine the type of pressure she's under? Then again, a lot of people are without a job right now, and most of them aren't famous. So whether Kate pursues nursing, TV, or writing, she better thank her lucky stars and choose something, and fast.
