Daniel Radcliffe may play a wizard, but he likes his gals just plain average.
Now that the Harry Potter movies have wrapped, Daniel Radcliffe needs something new to keep him creatively inspired. Looks like he's found it in new girlfriend, Rosanne Coker! Earlier this month, the two were spotted casually strolling hand-in-hand, and finally Coker's identity has been revealed. So, who is this muggle woman who has stolen Harry Potter's heart?
Apparently, the two met on the set of Harry Potter and the The Half-Blood Prince, where Coker worked as a production assistant. They also worked together on Radcliffe's upcoming film, The Woman in Black (set to release early next year). Daniel Radcliffe's Giggles Ruin Sex Scene
In July, Radcliffe told Larry King of his new gal, "I've got a girlfriend at the moment, who I am very much in love with. So you know, we'll see where that goes."
Radcliffe has a history of meeting his real-life love interests at work. Back in 2008, he dated Equus co-star Laura O'Toole. When they broke it off, he was spotted with Olive Uniacke, the step-daughter of multimillionaire Harry Potter producer, David Heyman. Although, rumors of their romance were never confirmed, so they may have just been good drinking buddies (seeing as Uniacke has a party-girl persona).
Compared to the other two before her, Radcliffe's latest flame is as normal as they come—a real muggle in Harry's world. She's the daughter of Surrey decorator and painter, Malcolm Coker, who apparently loves little Daniel like a son, and recently spilled all of the couple's personal business to Daily Mail.
"I have met Daniel and he is a lovely guy. I'm just really happy for Rosanne and as long as she is happy that is all that matters to me," he said. (Thanks alot, Dad!)
For the past year of their courtship, Coker has been jet-setting between her parent's home in England and Radcliffe's Manhattan apartment. Things might be getting serious—after all, it was her love that got Potter off the whiskey and into rehab. /node/80929
"I'm actually enjoying the fact I can have a relationship with my girlfriend where I'm really pleasant and I'm not f***ing up totally all the time," he recently told Telegraph.
So, that's how they're true English romance has been playing out. Famous boy meets normal girl, girl sobers up boy, and they live happily ever after (so far) in a semi-normal, wizard-free world!
