Sarah Jessica Parker got cold feet about making another film after bad reactions to the SATC2 movie.

Just as we were getting our Dior slip dresses in knots over the possibility of another Sex And The City movie (should Blake Lively play Samantha? What about Selena Gomez as Charlotte?), the show's producers have pulled the rug out from underneath us. They're putting the show back on TV. Sex And The City 3: Do You Buy Blake Lively As Samantha?

"Ultimately Darren Star — the man who created the hit series — will have the overall say, but everyone is agreed a TV show is the direction they want to take the franchise in," a source tells the U.K.'s Daily Mail.

Looks like Sarah Jessica Parker got cold feet about making another film after Sex and the City 2 got slammed by critics (it even won a Razzie, the crappy-flick award usually reserved for Ashton Kutcher and Lindsay Lohan). And I loved the show (the first movie wasn't half bad).

So, with SATC3 not happening any time soon, SJP would much rather produce the new TV show and take it from there. "She was worried about doing another film after the bad reaction to the SATC2 movie, but a TV show is definitely something she wants to happen," says the source.

"I cannot help but wonder," as Carrie would say, whether this show could be any good, or whether it'll be another disappointment to fans.

Would you watch a new Sex And The City show, or do you think it's time for Carrie to retire her Manolos?
