Renee Zellweger leaves Colin Firth and gets knocked up by Hugh Grant. Jolly good!
Jolly good news! Working Title Films has confirmed that the everyone's favorite self-deprecating spinster will be making a triumphant return to the big screen in a third installment of the Bridget Jones films—except she's no longer a spinster, of course. The movie producers have not yet revealed any plot details from the movie — which they have been working on since 2009 — except that Renee Zellweger, Hugh Grant, and Colin Firth will all reprise their roles from the first two movies. Firth, who plays Bridget's love interest Mark Darcy, may have leaked a spoiler last year when he told Entertainment Weekly that "Bridget and Mark can't have children…So then she makes the huge mistake of going back to Daniel Cleaver [Hugh Grant's character] for long enough to get pregnant…and guess who comes back to rescue her?"
