Is Ryan Reynolds Still On The Rebound?

Ryan Reynolds' first rebound victim after his divorce, Charlize Theron, must be realizing that their time together was no more than a summer fling. After just two months of dating, the two have reportedly gone their separate ways.

Like the average man, Ryan was not ready for a committed relationship after ending his two-year marriage to Scarlett Johansson. But Charlize, who is 36, is evidently hearing her biological clock tick away. Hitting The Snooze Button On Your Biological Clock

"He only wanted something casual, but she's in a rush to settle down, have kids and start a family since she's getting older," a close friend told Us Magazine.

Maybe Charlize should have read the feature on Reynolds in the June 2011 issue of Details.

"I don't think I want to get married again, but you always reevaluate these things," he told the magazine. Sounds like Charlize thought she could change him—classic rebound girl mistake.

Ryan and Scarlett announced their plans to divorce in December 2010, amid reports that Scarlett was the one who wanted out, and we think Ryan's heart is more than bruised, especially since his wife quickly moved on to older and more distinguished actor Sean Penn. Did Scarlett Johansson Mistreat Ryan? "Anyone who gets divorced goes through a lot of pain, but you come out of it. I'm not out of it yet. At all. But I sense that as I do come through it, there's optimism. How can there not be?"

Well at least he has friends like Sandra Bullock out there to help him get through this tough time. His 2009 The Proposal co-star surprised him at the L.A. premiere of his new film, The Change-Up. Maybe Ryan is planning to become the womanizer he plays in the film.
