Kat Von D And Jesse James Call It Quits: Is Anyone Surprised?

Sandra Bullock's cheating ex-husband Jesse James and his tattooed lady Kat von D have decided that wedding bells are not in their future, after all, it seems. Kat, the 29-year-old LA Ink star, announced the news on her Twitter page, writing: "I am no longer w Jesse, and out of respect for him, his family and myself, thats all the info I'd like to share. Thanks for respecting that."

Shocked? We aren't. The couple had been dogged with breakup rumors for the past few weeks, but lest anyone think that Jesse (or his wandering eye body parts) are to blame, the 41-year-old gave a statement to People Magazine, citing the long-distance nature of their relationship as the reason for their split:

"I'm so sad because I really love her," said Jesse. "The distance between us was just too much." Do Jesse James And Kat Von D Deserve Each Other?

The couple became engaged last January and were supposedly planning a summertime wedding to coincide with the one-year-anniversary of their coupling in August. However, it seems that Kat, who lives in California, and Jesse, who continues to reside in Texas with his three kids, couldn't agree on where they should build their life together.

Perhaps, Kat wasn't excited about the prospect of moving in Jesse's Texas bachelor pad, which is a mere 15 miles away from Sandra Bullock's house. Jesse's two other ex-wives, Karla, who is the mother of his two eldest kids, and Janine, who is the mother of his youngest, also live nearby. And although Kat once told a reporter that "Home is where the heart is, and my heart's with him," maybe Jesse's heart was just a little too close to his exes for Kat's liking.
