After a whirlwind trip to Canada, Prince William and Duchess Kate are visiting our sandy shores.
By all accounts, Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton are having an amazing first summer together as man and wife.
In the past few weeks, the couple has raced each other in Dragonboats (Prince William's team won), planted a tree, worn cowboy hats, shaken hands with who-knows-how-many Canadians, and wowed the world with their numerous wardrobe changes. (Well, Kate did anyway. Nobody even seems to notice William's suits and ties anymore.)
Not to mention, Waitie-Katie-No-More's confirmation that she wants to start a family! (Do you hear that? It's the biological clock of the 29-year-old future queen, and it's loud.) Prince William & Catherine: Our Big Fat Royal Summer Vacay
But, now, for the piece de resistance of their summer royal tour, the Cambridges have landed in Los Angeles, and, considering that this is Kate's first time in America and William's first visit to the West Coast, they will no doubt be seeing all the sights and turning on the charm for SoCal's lucky denizens.
First up will be a polo match in Santa Barbara, where Prince William will compete and Kate will present the winners' with a trophy. Following that, the couple will hit the red carpet for a BAFTA gala dinner, honoring over 40 British filmmakers. Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Nicole Kidman, Tom Hanks, and Jack Black are among the Hollywood celebrities that the royal couple will reportedly rub elbows with at the event, reports the LA Times. 4 Reasons Not To Envy Kate Middleton
But it won't just be all Hollywood glitz and glamour for the royal couple. According to the Washington Post, the Duke and Duchess will also see a much-less glamourous side of Los Angeles when they visit Skid Row, where much of the city's homeless population resides.
It sounds like it will be a pretty amazing (but overwhelming) visit! We're thinking the couple might need a vacation from their vacation after this.
