Jackson's new autobiography reveals surprising details about her ex's abuse and her painful past.
La Toya Jackson is revealing some surprising information about her past in her new autobiography Starting Over, which was written before her brother Michael's death in 2009. In the book, Jackson opens up about her tumultuous and abusive marriage to her manager husband Jack Gordon, including an incident where Gordon offered sex with Jackson to former boxing champion Mike Tyson for $100,000.
And that's not the worst of it, according to Michael Jackson's older sister. She alleges that Gordon, whom she divorced in 1996 and who passed away in 2005, also forced her to do Playboy twice and made her take part in group sex against her will. Making Sense Of Michael Jackson's Legacy
"I was in brothels and everything," she said. "[It was] everything I was against. He made me do Playboy twice and had me sit on the stage and say 'Oh no, it was all my idea.' And I had to do that because I knew what he said he would do, he would do it."
By "he would do it," Jackson is referring to her ex-husband's many death threats. She believed him, especially after he forced her into marriage and made her cut ties with her friends and family. She claims he was not just physically abusive, but also mentally. Brooke Shields: Michael Jackson Was 'Asexual'
Jackson explained that she wrote this book not only for herself but for other women in abusive relationships from which they're having trouble escaping.
"It's about trying to get out of an abusive relationship or a relationship that someone is controlling you and there are people that come into your life and surround themselves around you. They control your finances, everything that you do you have absolutely no say so whatsoever," Jackson explained to the women of CBS's The Talk.
