Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo's Exuberant Wedding Shower

We may not know the exact date of Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo's wedding, but by the looks of the wedding shower they threw this weekend, it's going to be all things classy, expensive, and liquor-friendly of course.

Nick and Vanessa's joint shower was held at the London West Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles. Guests such as Drew Lachey (Dancing With the Stars winner) and NFL player Matt Leihnart were able to enjoy the roof top pool garden in the hotel and enjoy their fair share of booze.

Nick, who currently hosts the televised singing competition, Sing off!, even admitted to overdoing it during the celebrations.  The 37-year-old tweeted,"My liver is furious with me!! Great time last night at our wedding shower."

Despite the repurcussions he may have faced the morning after, Nick and Vanessa both seemed to enjoy their shower and made sure to spend plenty of time with their guests while still staying close to one another.

According to Dailymail.co.uk, one guest said, "There was lots of mingling and Nick and Vanessa stayed close to each other for most of the night. They were holding hands and walking around greeting people. They both seemed very excited for the party and to spend the weekend with their closest friends."

Even Nick's ex, Jessica Simpson, who is busy planning an extravagant wedding of her own might have been jealous of their party spot. The hotel was located in prime L.A. territory off the Sunset Strip, and "was decorated with white couches, chairs, and ottomans on the grassy lawn."

With Jessican and Nick's engagements announced almost simultaneously, tabloids have made much of the fact that the former pop couple are trying to "outdo" each other. While our money is still on Jessica (for now), if Nick's tweets are to be believed, he likely won't be saying "no" to anything Vanessa demands, no matter the cost.

He tweeted last week,"Damn, this is getting expensive. Good thing she's worth it."

But it looks like it's too late for Jess to out-wedding at least one of her exes. Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys got married over the weekend to Candice Crawford. Now if only John Mayer would announce he's engaged...
