Disclaimer: if you have a massive crush on John Krasinski or aren't in the mood for disgustingly adorable gushing by someone head over heels in love, you might want to click another article. As the actor inches toward his one-year wedding anniversary to the equally lovable Emily Blunt, Krasinski is proclaiming his undying love to anyone who will listen—in this case, Ellen DeGeneres.
The Something Borrowed star told the talk show host that he was instantly smitten when he first met Blunt. Aww, love at first sight...just like in the movies!
"It was one of those things where I wasn't really looking for a relationship and I was thinking I'd take my time in L.A.," he shared (via Popeater). "Then I met her and I was so nervous. I was like, 'Oh god, I think I'm going to fall in love with her.' As I shook her hand I went, 'I like you.'"
Didn't take long for those three little words to lead to four other big words: "Will you marry me?" The two tied the knot last July in Lake Como, Italy, after dating since 2008. According to Krasinski, he was all about locking it down and making sure she didn't become the one that got away:
"I was like, I'm going to propose to her real fast before she wakes and is like, 'What am I doing? I can have anybody,'" he said. "I was like, 'Just put [the ring] on. Shhh...'"
With a 3-carat Edwardian diamond and platinum ring, we're guessing she didn't have too many objections to that. Here's to a true celeb fairy tale!
