Robert Pattinson Has A Thing For Cougars

Robert Pattinson usually tries to paint himself as a super-awkward person. A heartthrob? Not so much.

Yep, fan girls totally love him, but he often acts like he's the least dating-savvy dude on the planet. Now, we never exactly bought that, but even if we had, we certainly wouldn't anymore. The Water for Elephants star recently revealed he's been in the lady-charmin' business since the tender age of seventeen—when he started romancing older women!

According to ShowbizSpy: "Every girl I went out with in my teens was older than me," Rob said. "My first girlfriend was 26, I was 17. Women who were older always seemed more exciting."

Yep, y'all. Rob dated cougars. (Pssh... "awkward," RPatz? C'mon now.)

"I used to think I was a bit of a bad-ass when I was younger," he said. "I liked that it annoyed people how much younger I was. I liked walking into a room with a woman and people looking at us and thinking, 'They do not look right together.'"

Rob—stirring up trouble! Although, that's a thing of the past these days now that he's settled down with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart... and since the tech-world introduced those nasty li'l camera phones.

"It isn't possible to get away with stuff with camera phones around," Rob said. "I can't do it. If I have four beers, I'm destroyed the entire next day. I don't understand how these stars used to go on benders all the time."

Rob might be right. It's probably hard to get away with any quasi-scandalous behavior because of all those iPhones. But we're thinking mega-star fame doesn't help much either. Just a guess.
