YourTango Is Hiring Fall Editorial And PR Interns!

Journalism or Marketing/PR major? Love writing and New York? Step into our office.

Are you your campus newspaper sex columnist? A tweeter-extraordinaire? Or maybe you're so bubbly it's a PR career or bust? If you love writing, editing, blogging, marketing or social media and want to launch your career, you should apply to be a fall intern at YourTango.

Editorial and social media intern responsibilities include:

  • Writing for our blogs, like Love Buzz and Celeb Love
  • Contributing content ideas for video, features, polls, quizzes and photo galleries
  • Photo research and editing
  • Interacting with people in community forums and through social media
  • Producing content in our CMS

Please be a Journalism or English major, have excellent writing and communication skills, some Photoshop experience, and familiarity with online media (HTML, CMS, SEO) and social media.

PR and marketing intern responsibilities include:

  • Expanding the social reach of articles using online PR sites and social media sites
  • Monitoring and posting content on blogs, forums, and social networks to further engage our network base
  • Researching and updating media lists, press contacts plus other promotional platforms
  • Writing and developing press materials for upcoming programs and events
  • Researching and managing other PR intiatives and projects that you come up with

Please be a Communications, PR, Marketing, or Journalism major; have excellent writing and communication skills; have a solid understanding of social media; and be proficient in Microsoft Office.

All interns should be able to commit to three months full-time or four months part-time and be able to start ASAP. There is a small stipend, rewarded upon completion. You may choose either college credit or a stipend.
