Teri confesses she's dating three different guys and is determined to find her match.
Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher admits she's avoided love in the past but is now ready for a relationship and is on the hunt for her soulmate. The brunette was previously married twice, first to Marcus Leithoid for a year in 1988, and later to Jon Tenney in 1994 with whom she had one daughter, Emerson Rose.
She recently opened up to Prevention Magazine (via DigitalSpy.com) about how she's trying to find love in new ways. "This guy came up to me and said, 'Do I know you?' He seemed nice. We talked. So he walked away and my girlfriend goes, 'Should I see if he's single?' I go, 'Yes.' She runs over, gets his card. We went on a date, didn't work out. Fine. The point is, I'm actively trying in a different way."
Despite not hitting it off with the first guy she dated since her change of heart, the 46-year-old did not give up. She is still actively dating, although not currently in a relationship (or if she is, she's not 'fessing up)./node/43816
"Since then, I've gone on a date with a very attractive man and it was a terrific example of me manifesting this conscious change and taking responsibility for why I may have unconsciously been keeping relationships at bay. By no means am I in one, but I have three guys calling at the moment, and that's different from before."
Three guys? Sounds like Teri's gone from singeldom to embracing dating, and maybe even playing the field a little, to which we say, "You go girl!" Teri Hatcher Stole the Show at Longoria's Nuptials
Although the actress is dating around, not just anyone will do. Teri has very specific requirements for her future Mr. Right, although having money isn't one of them. But honestly, with her career she can afford to be the breadwinner in the relationship.
Teri's personal ad for love: "I'd like him to be between 39 and 54. Fun, adventurous, funny, kind, honest, smart, successful—but I want to be clear that doesn't necessarily mean rich."
Sounds like Teri is looking for what all (most?) women want: a nice guy with a sense of humor who may not be the richest man in the world but is still goal-oriented. Now, is that too much to ask for?
Although, we might add "likes teens" for Emerson's sake, and "comic book geek" (Teri once starred as Lois Lane in the popular television show Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman). And now that she's publicly announced she's on the hunt, we're sure she'll have a new boyfriend who fits her description in no time.
