It's no secret that Hollywood is often desperate to marry off celebrities that have been dating, oh, about five minutes, but Eva Mendes appears to be immune to wedding fever. In a recent interview with Hollywood Life, she shared that she has no plans to ever marry her long-time love, filmmaker George Augusto.
"I just don't think marriage is necessary, as necessary as society makes it," she told the website (via Oh No They Didn't). "And I don't have a negative point of view on it. I just think it's a very old tradition and if you look back to what marriage symbolizes in the first place... it has nothing to do with why we get married today."

Sage words from the actress, who has been with Augusto since 2002. Traditionally, Mendes has been pretty vocal about not wanting to drink the commitment Kool-Aid, voicing similar opinions to Marie Claire and other mags. She also spilled the beans on her desire to have children, which is, in fact, nonexistent:
"I don't wanna have kids ... I love the little suckers; they're so cute. But I love sleep so much, and I worry about everything," she told MC.
