Charlie Sheen Heads To Court For Custody Of His Twins

After suspecting Brooke Mueller is back on drugs, Charlie made a move to get the twins back.

In dysfunctional family news, Charlie Sheen moved quickly on Tuesday when he suspected his ex, Brooke Mueller, had relapsed and was back on drugs. The ex-Two and a Half Men star scheduled an ASAP court hearing for primary physical custody of their twins, Bob and Max.

In case you forgot, the boys currently live with their mother. They were forcefully removed from Sheen's home last month after he allegedly threatened Mueller, saying: "I will cut off your head, put it in a box and send it to your mom." Yikes, Charlie. Yikes. And by all indications, it looks like the kids will be staying with Brooke. Much to Charlie's dismay.

According to PopEater, Brooke checked into rehab over the weekend as a precautionary measure only, in case Sheen's legal team tried to issue an order to test her for drugs—and it appears her tactic worked. When the two exited the private court hearing held on Tuesday, Brooke was all smiles. Charlie wore a sullen look. Now, unless it's Opposites Day, we can only imagine what the judge told Charlie.

Along with custody of the twins, Sheen was looking to nix his $55,000 per month in child support to Mueller. And surprisingly, he had an unlikely ally.  Denise Richards apparently offered to take Bob and Max in while Sheen finishes his "Torpedo of Truth" tour. And finally, like everything else in Charlie's life as of late, the actor requested that the legal proceedings with Mueller be made public by allowing reporters into the court room. The judge denied his request. And we can't say we're sad about that. Charlie Sheen's starting to become a bit overexposed (or, you know, a lot).
