Usher's Girlfriend Stirs Up Some Career Drama

Love means never having to say you're sorry. But in Raymond Usher's case, it can also mean letting your loved one pull the purse strings. Word has it that his girlfriend, 43-year-old Grace Miguel, is cleaning house and taking over the pop star's business affairs. According to Page Six, that means saying sayonara to his professional entourage—from CAA agent Mark Cheatham (who reportedly introduced Usher to fellow client Justin Bieber) to an array of tour managers, stylists, and choreographers—in order to make way for a new regime. "Usher will do whatever she wants him to do right now," a source told Page Six (via Popeater).

This isn't the first time there's been such a shakeup involving Usher and his chosen boo. Rumor had it that ex-wife Tameka Foster was the one who convinced Usher to fire his momager, Jonetta Patton. Though she's now back on board, guess who fills the shoes of co-manager? Yep, you guessed it: Grace Miguel is now Usher's co-manager and stylist. Oh, what a tangled web we weave!

Of course, Miguel deserves a little bit of cred even though she's currently getting a bad rap. A former Def Jam executive, she was reportedly able to help Usher nail down a release date for his new album, "Raymond v. Raymond," after it was temporarily shelved the first time around. So perhaps she really does know how to keep his career afloat! In any case, it'll be interesting to see how whatever is going down behind the scenes plays out—and whether business and pleasure really do mix.
