Evan Rachel Wood Listens to Justin Bieber to Deal with Breakup

Evan Rachel Wood and Marilyn Manson
The Thirteen star talks about her new Bieber obsession after calling it quits with Marilyn Manson.

Remember Evan Rachel Wood? The actress who took on the lead role in the controversial movie Thirteen and went on to star in The Conspirator? Sure, at first glance she seems like she could be a shoo-in to replace Jennifer Aniston or Reese Witherspoon in all things romantic comedy. But instead, she had a love affair with none other than the always shocking Marilyn Manson (less open-minded people might call him disturbing, frightening, or not quite all there), and has admitted publicly to having a falling out with her mother. Now, following her break-up with Marilyn, Evan is casting aside her rebellious ways and embracing...Bieber fever? Cosmically Linked: Marilyn Manson Evan Rachel Wood

"I'm really enjoying being single and concentrating on work right now. That and watching the Food Network and listening to Justin Bieber," Evan told New York Magazine. "People honestly think I'm kidding about Bieber. My mom is so confused. She’s like, ‘Evan, really?’ I’m like, 'Go see Never Say Never. You’ll understand.'" Evan even owns a purple Bieber hat to prove her devotion to the teen pop star.

Looks like Evan is ready to get as far away from anything that reminds her of her ex (unless Marilyn is a secret Bieber fan?).

We can't exactly blame her. Marilyn, who was almost 20 years her senior, was part of the reason she and her mother had a falling out.

"We had a bad breakup,” she says. “We hadn’t been apart for more than a week my whole life. We shared a room, we shared a bed. She was constantly by my side, all the time, until the minute I turned 18," Evan said of her relationship with her moom. "I hopped on [Marilyn Manson’s] tour bus, and was like, I’m going to have an adolescence.” We're sure Mrs. Wood was pleased about that maneuver.

But Evan feels Manson did help her attain what she calls a "normal childhood."

"Manson gave me what I felt I’d missed out on, where you get to experiment and cut loose and change and grow. I lived 50 lifetimes in those four years," Evan confessed. Evan Rachel Wood & Marilyn Manson Call It Off

After acting in serious dramas, Evan's ready to start performing in movies with a lighter side.

"I really want to do an adult love story," she said.

Perhaps Evan should try dating someone to fit her new happier image, like romantic comedy star Ryan Reynolds or even someone from Glee—we hear Cory Monteith is available.
