It was widely and publicly known that Holly wanted to marry Hef back when the two were together. For seven long years the girl waited it out, hoping for a proposal. When she finally believed Hef's claims that he would never again walk down the aisle, she gathered up her things and left Hef and the Playboy Mansion for good. Two years later, her ex was putting a ring on another woman's finger. And Holly was not happy. Holly Madison Is Upset About Hugh Hefner's Engagement
According to PopEater, while partying it up for his birthday, the 85-year-old had this to say about the wedding situation as it concerned his "main" ex-girlfriend: "I think Holly has expressed publicly that it would be a little strange if she was there and I respect that."
A decent explanation, but there's got to be more to it than that, right? Yes, indeed.
Word on the street is Crystal Harris did not want Holly or any of Hugh's ex-girlfriends there on her big day (that means you, too, Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt), despite the fact that all Hef's exes have indicated that there were no hard feelings post-breakup—that they only had mutual love and respect for each other. In fact, Kendra recently fumed to the press about not receiving an invite to the wedding, something the Playboy founder denied. Hugh Hefner Will Wed Crystal Harris Without A Prenup
"She knows she's invited," Hef said. "The invitations haven't gone out yet."
There seems to be a lot of drama surrounding his nuptials, but all things considered, Hugh is pretty excited about tying the knot for the third time with his 24-year-old lady love.
"The reality is I can't see myself with anybody else, and I just want to give the relationship that kind of formal statement," Hef said of his impending marriage. "I think Crystal deserves it. I love happy endings."
Wait, Hef. Does that mean Holly didn't deserve it?! At this point, we're just hoping she never reads that...
