7 Worst Valentine's Day Nightmares

The worst nightmare for any person would be to spend the Valentine's Day alone. And if you think that nothing more worse can happen then being alone on the lover's day, you are in for a surprise. There are seven more situations that you would rather not be in on this 14th February.

7) Not doing anything: No matter how much the girl says she wants nothing on Valentine's or she doesn't want to commercialise the whole thing, a teeny-weeny part of her wants you to be chivalrous and do something special. When you are alone, not celebrating the day for lovers is understandable but when you are with someone and every other couple out there is celebrating, you tend to feel left out.

6) Being dumped: It would be the most horrible and insensitive thing to break up with your girlfriend/boyfriend on the day when people are proposing marriages and declaring undying love. Breaking up or being dumped on any other day is okay but on Valentine's is just plain cruel. Though it happens to very few people, it certainly deserves to be listed as a nightmare.

5) Failed plans: Some really enthusiastic people make elaborate plans only to fail miserably in getting things according to them. From car breaking down at an abandoned road to the gift being forgotten, we know guys who just can't do it right.

4) Giving a stupid gift: Even before it is February, couples, especially the women counterpart, are apprehensive about what will they get on this special day. Giving a girl a Rocky IV DVD or golf learning vouchers or a guy some chick flicks or a cookbook would be stupid. The best gift is the one that is thoughtful and meaningful. Guys – flowers, teddies and chocolates are outdated and never ever give her a weighing scale or a weight loss pill making her confidence go for a toss. Girls – please don't give your guy arts and paintings.

3) Being broke: University students and even some married couples inevitably find themselves broke after Christmas and New Year's and hardly have money to buy expensive gifts or go for candlelit dinners. Nothing sucks more than being broke when every one out there is receiving a diamond ring or a Tiffany bracelet. A little creativity might help broke couples to celebrate this day in their own special way.
