Halle Berry Fights Baby Daddy For Daughter

Ok, rewind. Like you, we were kinda scratching our heads since things seemed like they were just fine -- at least to the outsiders looking in. However, according to what we're reading in People, it looks like Halle has decided that she was going to duke it out with ex Gabriel Aubry in court for custody of their daughter Nahla, even pulling out of her latest project, New Year's Eve, to do it.

And, while there's no confirmation as to WHAT caused the abrupt shift to involve a judge and gavel, Halle's rep seems to indicate that Gabriel hasn't been the most responsive in all this.

"She has attempted to resolve these custody issues amicably with her daughter’s father, Gabriel Aubry, directly, but given his lack of cooperation, Halle has no choice but to seek swift judicial intervention," said her rep, in a statement to US Magazine.

Could Gabriel's search for justice have anything to do with his request to a judge to be legally declared as Nahla's father? According to The Hollywood Gossip, he was having a series of explosive fights with Halle and his being out with Kim Kardashian didn't help matters much.

But Halle's concern is safety all the way, says her rep.

"Halle has always made the needs and safety of her daughter her first priority and, both while Halle and Gabriel were a couple and since their break-up, Halle has only acted in her daughter's best interest," her rep said.

Well. We're not sure what's in store for Halle and Gabriel. But it seems like it's gotten pretty ugly and doesn't have a chance of getting any prettier any time soon. Let's just hope they don't come to blows or start flinging sordid accusations at each other.
