The couple's son was reportedly born this week in Los Angeles.
Javier Bardem, 41, has a lot to celebrate this week. Not only was he nominated for an Oscar for his role in the film, Biutiful, but his wife, 36-year-old actress Penelope Cruz, reportedly gave birth on Saturday to their first child, a son.
Although the low-key couple, who married in the Bahamas last summer, has not released their baby's name or any other info, Penelope supposedly had their son at a hospital in Los Angeles and was surrounded by family during the labor. Penelope Cruz Is Pregnant
And while we missed seeing Penelope at the Golden Globes this year, we hope she will make an appearance at next month's Oscars to support her man and show off her post-baby figure. However, according to the New York Post, Javier has stated in the past that they have no desire to be the next Brangelina:
"We value our privacy [but] it's difficult for us to appear in public, even thought we're both used to getting a lot of attention in Spain ... but we have a good life."
We guess we'll have to wait and see whether Penelope will debut her post-baby body on the red carpet or not. In the meantime, our congratulations to the proud parents!
