The boy bander and Rochelle DeAnna Karidis exchanged vows on Saturday in a goth-themed wedding.
Backstreet's back, alright! Surely that popular song by the Backstreet Boys is now stuck in your head (you're welcome), but friends and family of band member A.J. McLean were singing to a different tune on Saturday: "Here comes the bride, all dressed in white..."
A.J. (or, as you probably remember him: "the one with the beard") exchanged vows with his bride, Rochelle DeAnna Karidis, in an outdoor ceremony held on the Crystal Lawn at the Beverly Hills Hotel, reports People. The wedding and reception (held inside the Crystal ballroom) had a goth theme to match the couple's love of tattoos, music and going against the norm. 10 Best New Celebrity Couples Of 2011
It was pretty evident that the 33-year-old boy bander was very hands-on with the wedding plans with its romantic yet edgy vibe (wearing a red bow tie was most definitely A.J.'s idea). He described himself to People as a "Groomzilla" back in April, and tweeted the night before the wedding, "I'm so nervous and excited for tomorrow." Be A Great Groom: 3 Wedding Planning Tips For Men
He probably had a vision of how he wanted to get hitched ever since he popped the question to Rochelle in January 2010. He reportedly hopped up on-stage at Hard Rock Hotel's Wasted Space nightclub in Las Vegas and proposed before a crowd of friends and folks in town for an adult entertainment convention (naturally). Not only was he also celebrating his 32nd birthday that night, but he had also purchased the ring just hours earlier at the hotel's jewelry store called Rocks.
Sounds like this Backstreet Boy has really grown up and into his rocker style... and now he can enjoy life with his rocker wife.
Congrats to the happy couple!
