We love the Kardashians and think it's pretty awesome how their mom, Kris Jenner, was smart enough to build an empire off of the talents of her children. What's better than a mom who believes in her kids?
But, who doesn't think it's so great? Only the First couple, Barack and Michelle Obama!

According to iVillage, the First Lady spoke fondly of her two young daughters, Malia, 13, and Sasha, 10, in a new interview. "They're terrific girls, they're poised and they're kind and they're curious," she says. But raising them in the White House has been a struggle, as Michelle says she "fights for their normalcy" on a daily basis. Michelle Obama's Dating Advice For Sasha And Malia
Mrs. Obama gives her girls rules like every other American mom does—they can't watch television or use the computer during the week, except for school work. When asked if there were any particular shows off-limits, Michelle responded:
"Barack really thinks some of the Kardashians—when they watch that stuff—he doesn't like that as much. But I sort of feel like if we're talking about it, and I'm more concerned with how they take it in – what did you learn when you watched that. And if they're learning the right lessons, like, that was crazy, then I'm like, okay."
We can understand that, can't we? The First Lady and the President don't want their two impressionable daughters getting any ideas about life from the three krazy Kardashian sisters! And we can totally see why.
Here are the top 3 reasons why the Obama's probably aren't fans of the Kardashians:
- "Keeping Up" With Them. We think the mere title of their E! reality show isn't teaching Sasha and Malia to be individuals. Instead, it's teaching them to fit an image of "Keeping Up" with other people. Somehow, we don't think Michelle and Barack have plans to raise their daughters to keep up with anyone else. 5 Things You Will See On "Kim Kardashian's Fairytale Wedding"
- Makeup, Diet Pills & Botox. Sasha and Malia are far too young to be worrying about any lines they have on their faces. We figure that the Obama's had no plans to teach their daughters that looking good is the only pursuit of life and happiness—something that Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Kris obsess about on their show.
- Money. Let's face it, the Kardashians have a lot of money and some of them have married into more. There's nothing wrong with that. But, the Obama girls are too young to be materialistic. We hope they learn to donate to their favorite charities instead of purchasing a pricey Ferrari, like Kim did last month (we hope the girls didn't see that episode!).
Like Michelle herself says, the goal is to raise Sasha and Malia as if "they're not little princesses. They have to make their beds, they have to clean up their rooms, they have to — Sasha has started doing the laundry, Malia was supposed to be doing it but (Sasha) is really into laundry."
Do you really think we can say the same for any of the Kardashians? Probably not.
