Hopefully, the third time is the charm for the former "Beverly Hills, 90210" actress.
This past weekend, Shannen Doherty, 40, got married for the third time to her two-year boyfriend, Kurt Iswarienko, in Malibu.
The Daily Mail reports that their outdoor ceremony was "a simple yet elegant affair" that took place at sunset in a beachside community. The bridal party walked down the aisle, which ran over a swimming pool and led up to a pagoda decorated with white silks and white rose petals, under which Shannen and Kurt exchanged their vows.
The congregation of 120 had been instructed on their invitations to wear all-black attire, and even the bridesmaids' gowns were as dark as night, ensuring that the bride, dressed in white, would stand out. (This move sounds a little Bridezilla to us. But, then again, we are dealing with Shannen Doherty here.) Actor Zachary Quinto: 'I'm A Gay Man'
The characters Doherty has been cast to play have always embodied a dose of the actress herself. Maybe that's why she's been so good at playing them? From her role as Brenda Walsh, the twin sister to Brandon Walsh (a young Jason Priestley, hubba hubba!) to her character in Mallrats as the fed-up girlfriend of slacker Brodie Bruce (played by Jason Lee), Shannen has always been a bit of a hard ass.
In 1993, Dean Factor, Doherty's ex-fiancé, obtained a restraining order of protection against her after she allegedly pulled a gun on him and threatened to have him violated by hired men. From that point on, Doherty was seen as a bit of a man-eater. But that didn't stop Ashley Hamilton, son of actor George Hamilton, from marrying her in the fall of 1993 (they divorced less than a year later). After that, Doherty remained single until 2002, when she married Rick Salomon. But that marriage was short lived too, and it was annulled in 2003. 90210's Open Relationship
Though she's been married twice already, she's only been a wife for a little over one year. Now she's ready to try with husband number three, who's a celebrity photographer. We wonder how they met? Was it while he was snapping her photo as she was getting a latte from Starbucks? Did they lock eyes briefly when she open her car door as his flash went off? Guess we'll never know, but we do know that the camera-hungry Doherty sure likes attention! The actress has been on Dancing with the Stars and is currently filming a new reality series about her relationship with her new hubby, naturally.
Hopefully, these two will make it past the seven-month mark! Congrats to the couple!
