The former 'Sex and the City' star has adopted a new daughter, Gemma Rose.
If there's one thing Kristin Davis has in common with her lovable character, Charlotte from Sex and the City, it was a craving for motherhood. And like Charlotte, she now has that wonderful chance!
People confirmed the news over the weekend that Davis has adopted a baby girl through domestic adoption. The mag has a photo of the actress holding her new baby daughter, Gemma Rose Davis. (Insert cooing sounds here, please!)
Davis is, of course, thrilled to play the role of mom. "This is something I have wanted for a very long time," Davis says. "Having this wish come true is even more gratifying than I ever had imagined. I feel so blessed." 'Sex And The City' Helps Me Be A Better Therapist
The adoption is wonderful news for Kristin, who's spoken about having children in the past. According to Parade, the actress has been quoted as saying, "I would love to have children. I would love to adopt. And I would still like to find a man and have a baby with him. I haven't given up."
While she's now a mom, it doesn't seem that Kristin's got a Dad figure in the picture at the moment. But, that seems to be the least of her worries, since she was quite comfortable moving through the adoption solo. Adopting An Attitude For Adoption
I will say that I'm thrilled for Kristin. This is a great moment for her, and the fact that she went the adoption route is pretty cool, too. Here's to wishing her nothing but the best with the new bundle of joy in her life!
