It's been a year since Courteney Cox and David Arquette went public with their separation. It was a rocky ending to an 11-year marriage, especially when Arquette would appear on Howard Stern's Sirius radio show to talk very openly about their relationship. Courteney Cox & David Arquette: It's Over
After months of therapy with Courteney, a trip to rehab, and now a gig on Dancing With The Stars, it seems David Arquette is doing better than ever... with someone other than his estranged wife. The 40-year-old has just revealed he has a new girlfriend: Christina McLarty. Appearing again on Howard Stern's show this week, Arquette said the two met at a boat party and that "she's adorable."
"We try to see each other as much as possible," Arquette told Stern (via People). "I'm not one to run around with different girls. I like someone that makes me feel good and that I can make feel good."
Arquette's new love interest was once previously married to none other than Joe Francis, the man behind the Girl's Gone Wild franchise. That marriage lasted a whopping two months in 2010. According to People, McLarty was first spotted with Arquette at Comic Con in the beginning of this summer.
Our question is: what happened to Arquette trying to work on things with Courteney for the sake of their daughter, Coco? Just this April the two appeared on, what else, Howard Stern's radio show as a united front. Courteney had the following to say about their love despite their differences:
"The truth of the matter is that we love each other so much. We have such affection for each other, but we are very different. I'm a homebody. I like to have people over, but I'm a little socially not – I don't love it. David – he doesn't drink anymore, he's completely sober – but he likes to go out and dance. He really is a very gregarious guy. He's very outgoing. I'm much more of an introvert." Courtney Cox Opens Up About Her Split With David Arquette
We're going to go ahead and assume McLarty is more compatible with Arquette's partying ways than Courteney could ever be. But, for the sake of Coco, we hope the estranged couple keeps everything amicable.
