Eva Longoria Is Tony's Housewife, No Longer

After a 24-hour blitz of media speculation and indignant publicist denials (are there ever any other kind?), the verdict is in: it’s ''irreconcilable differences,'' as actress Eva Longoria officially files for divorce from San Antonio Spurs player Tony Parker.

Following in the footsteps of Elin Nordegren and countless basketball wives before her, Eva appears to have caught her soon-to-be ex in the cheating act. (And true to spurned wife form, she’s also seeking spousal support.)

"It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce," Eva said in a statement. "We love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness."

US Weekly is reporting that the basketball star has been playing games on and off the floor - having cheated on Longoria years ago with a former teammate's wife and stayed in touch via "hundreds" of texts with her since then. So it’s no shock that Eva is "heartbroken by the betrayal," as one source shared. After all, the pair had seemed relatively solid on the surface, and baby buzz has been steadily circulating ever since their lavish Parisian nuptials three years ago. Tony even fueled the fire in June by telling US Weekly that the couple was "thinking about it." Yet in the same article, the b-baller foreshadowed that the long-distance nature of their relationship was sometimes a struggle. Adoption In Eva's Future?

"As long as you both make an effort, it works...but I miss not being able to kiss her every day!" Tony told the magazine.

Now, while the media speculates who he was kissing, Eva herself is choosing to stay relatively mum, speaking instead through a carefully worded public statement, as well as close friend and EXTRA correspondent Mario Lopez.

"She is devastated, she wants us all to know that," Lopez told People. "But she's strong." 

We have a feeling Tony Parker is going to find out just how strong she is very soon.
