Poor Jessica Simpson. Every time her weight fluctuates, the world has to make a story about it. Can't a girl just indulge in some Mexican food every once in a while without it being a big deal?
"Jessica is crazy in love with [Eric], so they’ve decided to make a baby. She always said she wanted to be pregnant by the time she was 30," said a pal of Jess' to the magazine, reports TheHollywoodGossip.com.
Adds another friend: "A pregnancy explains her sudden weight gain. Two months ago, she bragged she was in the best shape of her life on Eric’s vegan diet."
Besides the additional pounds, the Enquirer also points to the fact that Jessica threw up during a USO trip to the Middle East last month. However, we're not entirely convinced that Jessica is expecting. (The vomiting session could have simply been due to the reported 97 degree temperature!)
We think that, if she's not pregnant, then maybe Jessica is just suffering from a case of the blues. As we reported, the singer had an awkward run-in with her ex-husband, Nick Lachey, and his long-time girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo at a Mexican restaurant in LA a few weeks ago and reportedly sniped to the waiter, "I hope Vanessa likes her clothes because I bought them for her, since Nick took all my money."
Meow! Clearly, Jess hasn't completely moved past her divorce, and, although we hate to be the one to point it out, she doesn't seem to mind that her current boyfriend, Eric, isn't exactly rolling in the dough either. In fact, some people have even speculated that he's using her for the fame and the cash! Is Jessica Simpson's New Man Using Her?
Maybe Jessica is just having one of those "where did it all go wrong?" moments. Certainly, 7 years ago, when she was at the height of her fame, she probably never would have imagined that she'd be 30 years old and single.
Still, if Mariah Carey and Celine Dion are of any inspiration, Jessica shouldn't feel like she needs to rush into having a baby. So, go ahead and have another margarita, Jess! You've got plenty of time to figure out both marriage and motherhood.
