Lisa Marie Presley's relationship with Michael Jackson was "normal in every sense," she tells Oprah.

More than a year after Michael Jackson's untimely demise, Lisa Marie Presley has "finally processed" his death and is speaking out about her marriage to the King Of Pop. And not just in any ol' interview: Presley indulged in a full-on chat sesh with the Queen of Talk, the Divine Miss Oprah Winfrey herself.

"I wanted to sit and really have a conversation about things that are on a more personal level," the notoriously private LMP told Oprah, adding that she doesn't want her personal life to overshadow her forthcoming album release in 2011. (Um, good luck with that?)

Her goal with the Oprah sitdown? To "clear up" some misconceptions about their relationship, which many thought was just for show. Michael Jackson's Ex-Wives Mourn His Passing

"I honestly can tell you, it was every sense a normal marriage," insisted Presley, who says she took on a caretaker role while they were together. "One of the highest points of my life was when he and I were united together."

Presley also shared what it was like learning of Jackson's death, after having been estranged for almost a decade. She'd been inexplicably crying all day before hearing the news, and didn't get wind of the situation until friends like John Travolta started texting to see if she was alright.

"It was like a tidal wave," confessed Presley, who posted an emotional MySpace blog shortly afterward. "I was in real, honest-to-goodness shock - honestly floored." 8 Celebrities Whose Deaths Left Mourning Exes

Now, more than a year later, Presley is starting to come to terms with his death, as well as her own formerly rocky feelings toward their split:

"I've come to have all this love and understanding for him, and I don't know why it had to take his death for that to happen."
