Post-baby sex changes things between a couple. What was once a carefree act enjoyed by two people has now been reframed in the context of procreation. And for the woman, hormone levels may be out of whack and her body may still be in recovery.
Sex evolves, and it takes some getting used to... even if you're a Kardashian. Wait, of course if you're a Kardashian. See exhibit Kourtney & Scott:
Kourtney Kardashian and her beau/baby daddy, Scott Disick, haven't been enjoying sex. Scott's turned off by Kourtney's scheduled romp sessions, feeling "humiliated" throughout her desperate quest to bring on baby #2.
Meanwhile, Kourtney reveals to Kim on their show Keeping Up With the Kardashians that the transition into having sex with Scott again hasn't been easy. Not only is it painful—a feeling like "a metal pole is literally ramming you in the crotch"— but she's having trouble getting "juicy down there" due to estrogen levels being low.
(Insert gagging, vomiting noises here.)
OK, so now that's out of the way, the bigger question is: what does their lack of interest in having sex with each other mean for their relationship? Sure, there's no doubt that the birth of a new baby can do a lot for a woman's libido. But, given the fact that their son Mason will soon be celebrating his first birthday, having sex again shouldn't be a chore, should it?
We should hope not. But, maybe all this buzzing about the couple's approach to sex is just a spill over from the troubled relationship they've been having for quite some time. Scott's partying ways, their counseling sessions, her one night stand... Yes, none of this sounds like a "happily ever after" ending for the Kardashian-Disick family. Keeping Up With the Kardashians: Baby Daddy Drama
With all this drama, it seems that sex is just one sign of the deeper issues between the pair. And, we're starting to wonder even more heat in the bedroom will even help close the gap on the drama. Kourtney Kardashian & Scott Disick In Counseling
Whatever the deal is, we're hoping that for cute little Mason, they keep the peace—before they decide to bring another little Disick into the world.
