New York Fashion Week? More Like Family Week

Celebs turn out to this season's Fashion Week with their kids and families in tow.

Forget about magazine editors and bloggers, the front row at New York Fashion Week has now become the place for celebrities to spend some time with their kids and families.

Although a fashion show doesn’t seem like a very likely place for some father-son bonding time, among the celeb sightings at the first New York Fashion Week to be held at Lincoln Center were Gavin Rossdale and son Kingston at the Edun Spring 2011 show. Refinery29.com interviewed the 4-year-old, who, after attending many of mom Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B. fashion shows, is already a Fashion Week vet. During their 60 second interview, Kingston claimed that "Daddy" is the better dresser of his two parents and that his favorite thing to wear was "what Daddy wears." Awww...

Kelly Rutherford may have named her son Hermés but that doesn’t mean she cares about fashion more than her kids. After running into her Gossip Girl castmate Jessica Szohr at the QVC runway show, Kelly quickly whipped about her iPhone and, according to OK Magazine, was "overjoyed" to show off new photos of her cute kids to Jessica, who was also spotted the next day, sitting front row at the Tommy Hilfiger show with her on-again boyfriend Ed Westwick. (On a side note, is anyone else planning on watching the Gossip Girl season premiere tonight? All we can say is that they better not have killed off Chuck Bass!)

Over at the Charlotte Ronson show, all of the Ronson family turned out to show their support for the 33-year-old fashion designer, reports New York Magazine. Charlotte’s half-sister Annabelle Dexter-Jones was one of Charlotte’s models, while her brother Mark Ronson sat front row with their parents, and her twin sister, Samantha Ronson, handled DJ-ing the show (and reportedly let out a big cheer at the end.) Also attending were Drea De Matteo and her 2-year-old daughter Alabama, as well as Russell Simmons and his two nieces.

Lastly, siblings Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and brother-in-law Scott Disick all sat together in the front row, studiously observing the fashion at the Jill Stuart show, while Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and hubby Pete Wentz showed up to lend their support to Jessica Simpson’s press preview for her new jeanswear collection. While little Mason Disick and Bronx Wentz were not seen at the events themselves, they have been spotted, strolling (ore should we say, stroller-ing?) around NYC with their fashion-loving mammas! We’re guessing it won’t be the last Fashion Week any of these celeb kids see.
