Always the comedian, Chelsea announced the split with humor during the opening monologue for her talk show.

"I have been working for the E! network for over three years now, and in addition to hosting this chucklefest of a show, I’ve given many suggestions on how to improve the quality of their entire network. As you can tell by the current line-up of shows, they have taken none of my suggestions. So I’ve decided to consult for other networks," Chelsea told the audience before segueing into the big news. Is Chelsea Handler Available?
"Up until a couple weeks ago, I was working very intimately with the Animal Planet, but unfortunately, that contract was terminated. However, I enjoyed being in bed with them and may hook up for an occasional project."

Even though we're sad over the demise of this somewhat unlikely couple, especially since Chelsea seemed so into him, we're glad she isn't taking the split too hard. Maybe with her busy schedule, which includes hosting the upcoming VMAs, Chelsea just doesn't have time for a relationship right now. Or maybe she's just not an animal person? We hope the funny-lady's considering spilling some dirt on her past relationships in a third tell-all book, including the 4-1-1 on this short-lived romance.
