Spice Girl Mel B Has Yet Another Marriage Ending

Melanie Brown, aka former Spice Girl "Scary Spice," just announced she's separating from her husband, Stephen Belafonte, after only three years of marriage. And according to the Daily Mirror online, Belafonte, has already contacted divorce lawyers. Ironically, the pop star and her (likely) soon-to-be-ex husband will appear looking like one big "happy family" on her new reality show, The Mel B Project. Are Reality Shows Ruining Relationships?

Despite recent displays of PDA, it doesn't look like there's any hope of reconciliation for the pair, at least not in Brown's "hubby's" eyes. "It's over. Mel's coming back to the UK soon, but I won't be coming with her," Belafonte told the Mirror.

If divorce papers follow the separation, this will be the second divorce for the singer. Brown married Belafonte following a bitter divorce from Eddie Murphy, who as you may remember, after a very public paternity debate, turned out to be the father of her three-year-old daughter. OTC Paternity Testing 

So what went wrong this time? According to one source, the little green eyed monster may be to blame. "Part of the problem is jealousy. They are both livid when the other one gets attention from another person. They constantly want to know where the other one is...it's been an ongoing problem right from the start."

Well, we hope Mel's new reality show fares better than her past relationships. And hey, maybe the drama surrounding the split will at least give the show a ratings a boost?
