It must be hard (and that's putting it lightly) for all those who have to go through a breakup. Who hasn't? Probably if it was one time we probably would be able to forget the pain that comes with it. Sadly life isn't always that kind.
Knowing you are together is great. Knowing you are now single is hard. Hanging in between, well that is just frustrating. Why would anyone treat me that way? I am sure everyone has asked that question. Why doesn't he/she just tell me if it's over? Another popular question.
The anger, frustration, depression and tears that come with a strained relationship really puts us to the test of firstly, controlling our emotions at this trying time and accepting the fact that our questions will not be answered at this time.
During this time stress relieving techniques will be extremely helpful (if only you weren't too stressed to find them and then practice them). Try these simply tips:
1. Play your music loud - even if it is RnB. This will prevent you from hearing yourself think so much, replaying events over and over again in your brain.
2. Hug your bible or sacred thing. Remind yourself that there is a higher power looking at us. This means that we are not alone.
3. If you are crying, look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself if you want someone who seemingly doesn't care to have you looking this way.
4. Open a window or step outside. Breathe fresh air. Being outside will also prevent you from allowing yourself to feel comfortable feeling pity all day. After a little while you can go back and lie down etc. But make sure to step outside or put your head through your window. Remind yourself that life is still going on outside.
As soon as you are able, buy something sexy. Treat yourself to something risky, something pretty, something naughty, something special.
Remember, you aren't the only one with a heartache, you will get through this.
