Fred Armisen Is Dating SNL Co-Star Abby Elliott

Earlier this week, we reported that Saturday Night Live's Fred Armisen had split from his wife of 10 months, Mad Men actress Elisabeth Moss, and we speculated that perhaps it was the long distance aspect of their relationship that broke them up. Now, a few days later after word of his divorce broke, Life & Style is reporting that Fred has found a new girlfriend much closer to home (and work), his SNL co-star Abby Elliott.

"After the split, Fred sought comfort in Abby. They just started dating a few months ago. Fred and Abby are getting to know each other in a romantic way and taking things slowly. But they're enjoying each other's company. It's early days," said a source to the magazine via PopEater.com.

Like Elisabeth, 23-year-old Abby is significantly younger than Fred who, at 43, is closer in age to Abby’s dad, actor Chris Elliott, than her. Mr. Elliott was also a SNL cast member in the '90s, so we’d like to take a moment to imagine how hilariously awkward that "meet the parents" moment might be, especially if you cast Fred in the Ben Stiller role and Chris as the father who thinks nobody is good enough for his little girl.
