Elisabeth Moss, 27, who plays Peggy on the AMC drama, has reportedly split from her husband of 10 months, 43-year-old Fred Armisen of Saturday Night Live fame.

"They have been having trouble for a while. Both want to stay friends, but at the moment that is proving very hard," said a friend close to the couple to PopEater.com.

Perhaps it was the long distance nature of their marriage that ultimately doomed them. Elisabeth, a California native, lives in her own apartment in Los Angeles while working on Mad Men, while Fred, a New York native, is required to be in NYC for much of the year for the live tapings of SNL. It seems their relationship reached a high point in early 2009 when, after dating for a year, Elisabeth moved to New York to work on a Broadway play and they got engaged.
