And you're not. She knows you're jealous, proles.
George Clooney's brunette girlfriend de l'année, Italian TV presenter Elisabetta Canalis, took to the pages of Italian Vanity Fair to blab happily about her blissful love with the Oscar-winning silver fox. Elisabetta even says that some ladies are so jealous that she's warming Clooney's sheets that they've—gasp!—removed that Batman Forever–era still of George from their computer desktops. Which our friend told us in geometry is totally how you know he's serious about you...oh, Lizzie, sweetheart. You know what pride goeth before, don't you? George Clooney Talks Love And Relationships
Elisabetta seems to have had a bit of a mouth explosion while the Vanity Fair reporter was chatting with her at George's Lake Como villa (which are four words that never fail to make us a little weak in the knees). She nattered on about how cared-for and spoiled she is, living with George, and says she is as happy as she was when she was 18. Which, if you were wondering, is also the age difference between Elisabetta and her beau. George Clooney's 9 Love Lives
"I sometimes feel insecure, but if you are loved then you always feel great," she went on to the magazine. "[George] reassures me all the time. He is very close. I feel more embraced than ever before. … If you are loved, you always feel beautiful. It's the idea of being loved like this which really surprises me. George has given color back to my life."
How...sweet. The interview was done before the news broke last week that a French model-turned-hooker was telling prosecutors all about how she used to hoover up piles of cocaine with Elisabetta. Neither George nor Elisabetta has commented on the ongoing investigation of the prostitution ring and drug charges, but for better or for worse, the lady is getting a lot of press these days. George's girlfriends generally stay out of the media, so we're wondering how this will affect their relationship. They're reportedly planning to attend the Emmy Awards together this month; George will receive the Bob Hope Humanitarian award for his work to help victims of the January earthquake in Haiti. We'll see if Elisabetta is still decorating his arm in three weeks.
