Casey Affleck Sued For Sexual Harassment
Producer sues Ben Affleck's little brother for sexual harassment–and he's suing back.

According to E!Online, Joaquin Phoenix and Casey Affleck were up-to-no-good on the set of their latest project—a documentary that chronicles Joaquin's career change from Oscar-nominated actor to hip-hop star. A producer who worked on the Joaquin Phoenix documentary, which Casey Affleck directed, is suing the actor/director for $2 million, claiming Affleck sexually harassed her and failed to pay her for her work. According to the lawsuit filed on Friday, Amanda White alleges that she suffered through "uninvited and unwelcome sexual advances in the workplace" while working on the documentary, I'm Still Here: The Lost Year of Joaquin Phoenix. White also accuses Affleck of trying to get her to sleep with him, becoming "hostile and aggressive" when she declined and even attempting to coerce her by "violently grabbing her arm".

Additionally, she claims that during the making of the film, Affleck hired prostitutes to be on set purely for his "personal gratification," "repeatedly referred to women as 'cows'" and "discussed his sexual exploits and those of other celebrities he allegedly witnessed". White is asking for $2 million in damages to cover her sexual harassment claims and the resulting "emotional distress" inflicted, as well as for "constructive discharge in violation of public policy" and "breach of oral contract".

In response to the lawsuit, Affleck's lawyer, Michael J. Plonsker, called the allegations "preposterous and without merit" and indicated that White was not a victim of sexual harassment but a disgruntled former employee.

"Ms. White was terminated from the production over a year ago. She and her lawyers believe that this maliciously and erroneously filed complaint will cause the producers to succumb to her outrageous and baseless demands. She is mistaken," Plonsker said in a statement to the media.

He also confirmed that Affleck, a father of two who is married to Joaquin Phoenix's sister, Summer, will file cross-claims against White. 6 More Interfaith Couples We Love
