Christina Applegate Engaged, With Child

Christina Applegate and her fiancé, Dutch musician Martyn Lenoble, will become parents this winter, People magazine is reporting. The couple got engaged on Valentine's Day after two years of dating and this will be the first child for both. Christina credits Martyn with helping her recover from breast cancer. "He gave me something to really want to live for and something to smile about," she said last year. Legitimate tears of emotion!

The former Married With Children and Samantha Who? actress was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008, when she was 36, and had a double mastectomy because of her family history of the disease. "I didn't want to go back to the doctors every four months for testing and squishing and everything. I just wanted to kind of be rid of this whole thing for me. Christina's cancer reportedly didn't require chemotherapy or radiation, which probably helped preserve her ability to have kids. Her representative confirmed today that she and Martyn, 41, are expecting, and the mother-to-be already has some cravings, according to her Twitter account. "I eat so much avacado,I'm gonna turn into 1.then what? Who the hell is gonna hire a freakin avacado?" she tweeted yesterday, then followed it with, "Thank you all for your sweet words.
