He Said, She Said: Jake Pavelka & Vienna Girardi

The Bachelor's Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi said they wanted "privacy" to deal with their breakup. But we don't think that word means what they think it means, because the former TV lovebirds are in the midst of a very public "he said/she said" war. The Bachelor's Jake and Vienna Girardi Split

Jake tells People that he broke off the engagement because of "trust issues," yet denies reports that Vienna cheated on him (with Greek star Gregory Michael and/or another "secret boyfriend"). He also says he dumped her over the phone instead of waiting to do it in person because getting "out of his head" was critical to nailing a guest-starring role on Drop Dead Diva. Eesh.

However, in the latest issue of Star, Vienna says that she dumped Jake because of "major intimacy issues." She claims that he was only affectionate in front of the paparazzi and that he had a litany of excuses for why he wouldn't have sex with her during their six-month relationship: he was fasting, he wasn't in the mood, he thought premarital sex was a sin, yada yada. (Interesting note: Vienna says she left her engagement ring behind with a Dear Jake letter, but there are pictures of her on Wednesday still wearing it. But a Warner Bros spokesperson says that since the wedding is off, "the ring goes back into production," so Vienna is obligated to return it.)
