David Arquette: Courteney Isn't Cheating!

We never understood the pairing of Courteney Cox and David Arquette. Sure, they did those Scream movies together, but his goofy demeanor and her more straight-laced persona seem to clash. So when rumors started to circulate that Courteney may have been having a fling with her Cougartown co-star Brian Van Holt, we weren’t shocked. (Disappointed, perhaps, because, despite their differences, the Cox-Arquettes, who have a 6-year-old daughter named Coco, have turned out to be one of the most solid celebrity relationships in Hollywood and even celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary recently.) 6 Most Surprising Couples

According to Celebitchy.com, however, Courteney was alleged to be having a lot of romantic dinners of late with Brian sans her wedding ring. They were also reportedly flirting with each other a lot on set, and Courteney does seem to have a history of falling for men she works with. (See Scream.)

However, despite both Courteney and Brian’ silence on the rumors, David Arquette has decided to defend his reportedly troubled marriage to People Magazine this week.

"You know, it’s weird, because it turns up in the tabloids, and your friends start calling you like there’s a problem," said David. "Like, they say, 'If you need to talk,' you know. Hey, we don’t need to talk. There’s nothing wrong. We have a really great, beautiful relationship." Courteney Cox: Divorce Is Not an Option

David goes on to make himself sound like husband of the year:

"I would never do anything to jeopardize our relationship, you know what I mean. I’m committed, and we’re honest with each other... We respect each other, care for each other and love each other. And I feel blessed that she’s my wife and that we have an amazing family." 

David and Courteney are also scheduled to work together again, on the upcoming Scream 4 movie, something that David seems excited about, if only for the opportunity to remind Courteney who her real leading man is:

"We met on Scream 1, and on Scream 2 we were kind of on and off dating. And by Scream 3 we were married. And now on Scream 4 we have a child. It’s sort of an amazing marker throughout our lives."
