Since we haven't seen a famous couple break up for a reason other than infidelity in a long time, it makes sense that the public and media have been dreaming up all kinds of reasons for Al and Tipper Gore's recent split. Most of these daydreams include cheating, and most assume that it was Al doing the sleeping around. Because, let's face it, since the guy is a colossal bore in public, he has to be a tiger in the sack, right? Right? No? Not buying it? Yeah, us neither. Did Al Gore Cheat On Tipper?
Tiger or not, Star would like us to believe that Al was carrying on an affair for the past two years, which is what ultimately led to the end of his 40-year marriage to Tipper. The alleged "other woman" is Laurie David, producer of An Inconvenient Truth and comedian Larry David's ex-wife.
Star has learned that Al has been having an affair with Laurie, who divorced "Seinfeld" creator and "Curb Your Enthusiasm" star Larry David in 2007 amidst reports she was cheating with the caretaker of their Martha’s Vineyard summer home.

Not that cheating is to be condoned, but if this is true, it's kind of refreshing that Al would get involved with a smart, powerful woman instead of some famewhoring, gold-digging bimbo. However, Laurie's rep has vehemently denied the claims and Laurie told the Huffington Post, "It’s a total fabrication. I adore both Al and Tipper. I look at them both as family. And I have happily been in a serious relationship since my divorce."
