This past Memorial Day, Glee's Jane Lynch married Dr. Lara Embry at a small (read: 19 guests) ceremony at the Blue Heron restaurant in Sunderland, Massachusetts. Although the happy couple has yet to make an official announcement, the Blue Heron was more than happy to do it for them, calling up People magazine with all the details.
Umm... Isn't that a little tacky?
According to People, "Hors d'oeuvres included oysters, lobster triangles, Japanese crab salad, seared scallop with apple reduction and artichoke fritters with lemon aioli. For the main course: beet salad, striped bass with lemon buerre blanc, truffle mushroom salad, pan-seared breast of duck with duck confit, and herb salad. The reception concluded around 10 p.m. with cheese plates and a house-made cake filled with chocolate mousse, vanilla butter cream and fresh strawberries."
What great publicity! All the article was missing was a For reservations, please call XXX-XXX-XXXX.
Anyway, restaurant co-owner Deborah Snow goes on to reveal that there were no celebrities or recognizable faces at the occasion. "Lara's daughter was there, along with close, close friends of the couple. It was small, warm, intimate and very sweet. You could feel the love and friendship amongst the group."
